SYNOPSIS

     Appropriates $960,000 in FY 2010 to the Department of Education to pay the State share of new school facilities construction in the Toms River Regional School District.

A Supplement to "An Act making appropriations for the support of the State Government and the several public purposes for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2010 and regulating the disbursement thereof,"  approved June 29, 2009 (P.L.2009, c.68).

 

     Be It Enacted by the Senate and the General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:

 

     1.  In addition to the amounts appropriated under P.L.2009, c.68, there is appropriated out of the General Fund the following sum for the purpose specified:

 

34 DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION 30 Educational, Cultural and Intellectual Development 31 Direct Educational Services and Assistance   STATE AID
03-5120 Miscellaneous Grants-In Aid  .............................................		$960,000
Total State Aid Appropriation,		$960,000
Miscellaneous Grants-In-Aid ..........................................
State Aid:
03      Toms River Regional School District, all purpose, all district, all weather physical education facility  ......................................	($960,000)

 

     2.  This act shall take effect immediately.

 

 

STATEMENT

 

     This bill makes a supplemental appropriation of $960,000 from the General Fund to the Department of Education.  The department is to use these funds to pay to the Toms River Regional School District the 40% State share of the facilities cost of building a new all purpose, all district, all weather physical education facility.
