A Supplement to "An Act making appropriations for the support of the State Government and the several public purposes for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2010 and regulating the disbursement thereof," approved June 29, 2009 (P.L.2009, c.68).

 

     Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:

 

     1.  In addition to the amounts appropriated under P.L.2009, c.68 there is appropriated out of the General Fund the following sum for the purpose specified:

67 DEPARTMENT OF MILITARY AND VETERANS' AFFAIRS

80 Special Government Services

83 Services to Veterans

GRANTS-IN-AID

     2.  This act shall take effect immediately.

 

 

STATEMENT

 

     This bill appropriates $10,000 to the Department of Military and Veterans' Affairs to provide a grant to the Veterans of Foreign Wars to help finance the restoration of its Veterans' Monument at Horseshoe Lake in Roxbury Township, Morris county.  This monument is dedicated to veterans who served in all of this country's conflicts, and its much-needed restoration would continue the tradition of honoring these brave men and women.
