An Act concerning the annual audit of the 2019-2020 school district fiscal year.

 

     Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:

 

     1.    Notwithstanding the provisions of N.J.S.18A:23-1, N.J.S.18A:23-3, or any other section of law to the contrary, a school district's annual audit ¹report¹ of the 2019-2020 school fiscal year conducted pursuant to N.J.S.18A:23-1 shall be completed not later than ¹[April 30] January 31¹, 2021 and submitted to the Commissioner of Education not later than ¹[May] February¹ 5, 2021.  ¹Notwithstanding the provisions of this section or of any law, rule, or regulation to the contrary, a school district shall submit the Audit Summary for the 2019-2020 school year to the Department of Education not later than January 4, 2021.¹

 

     2.    This act shall take effect immediately.
