SYNOPSIS

     Amends Fiscal Year 2026 annual appropriations act to reassign distribution of certain Community Resources funding to Neptune American Legion Post #346.

An Act amending P.L.2025, c.74, the Fiscal Year 2026 annual appropriations act, to clarify the distribution of certain Community Resources funding.

 

     Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:

 

     1.    The following line item of section 1 of P.L.2025, c.74, the annual appropriations act for State Fiscal Year 2026, is amended to read as follows:

 

22 DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY AFFAIRS

50 Economic Planning, Development, and Security

55 Social Services Programs

 

GRANTS-IN-AID

04-8030  Local Government Services ................................ $8,500,000

05-0850  Community Resources........................................ $79,250,000

                 Total Grants-in-Aid Appropriation, Social Services Programs  $87,750,000

Grants-in-Aid:

         05    Neptune American Legion Post [46] #346                               ($25,000)

     2.    This act shall take effect immediately.

 

 

STATEMENT

 

     This bill amends the annual appropriations act for State Fiscal Year 2026 to clarify the distribution of certain Community Resources funding.  Currently, the annual appropriations act for State Fiscal Year 2026 appropriates $25,000 to American Legion Post 46.  However, this American Legion Post is not located in New Jersey. 

     To correct this error, the bill reassigns distribution of these funds to American Legion Post #346 located in Neptune Township, New Jersey.
