STATEMENT

This supplemental appropriation of $24.6 million in State funds to DHS will enable adults with incomes between 134% and 200% of the federal poverty level to continue to be enrolled in the NJ FamilyCare program.  These monies will generate approximately $45.7 million in federal funds on behalf of adults with incomes between 134% and 200% of the federal poverty level.  The FY 2011 recommended budget froze enrollment of adults as of March 2010, which affected an estimated 39,000 adults.
