SYNOPSIS
Authorizes State Treasurer to sell certain surplus real properties located in Township of Woodbridge, Middlesex County.

An Act authorizing the State Treasurer to sell certain surplus real properties and improvements thereon owned by the State located in the Township of Woodbridge, Middlesex County.
Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:
1. a. The Department of the Treasury, on behalf of the Department of Corrections, is authorized to sell and convey all of the State's right, title and interest in and to the 4.3 + acre parcel of land and any improvements thereon, located on the grounds of the East Jersey State Prison and situated on Block 905, part of Lot 10, in Woodbridge Township, Middlesex County, which has been declared as surplus to the needs of the State.
b. The sale and conveyance authorized by subsection a. of this section shall be executed in accordance with the terms and conditions approved by the State House Commission at its meeting of November 22, 2010.
2. a. The Department of the Treasury, on behalf of the Department of Corrections, is authorized to sell and convey all of the State's right, title and interest in and to the 8.06 + acre parcel of land and any improvements thereon, located on the grounds of the East Jersey State Prison and situated on Block 905, part of Lot 11, in Woodbridge Township, Middlesex County, which has been declared as surplus to the needs of the State.
b. The sale and conveyance authorized by section a. of this section shall be executed in accordance with the terms and conditions approved by the State House Commission at its meeting on March 15, 2012.
3. This act shall take effect immediately.
STATEMENT
This bill authorizes the State Treasurer, on behalf of the Department of Corrections, to sell and convey to Sansone Mall Realty, LLC, a 4.3 acre parcel of land and improvements thereon, and an 8.06 acre parcel of land and improvements thereon. Both are situated on the grounds of the East Jersey State Prison located in Woodbridge Township, Middlesex County, and have been declared as surplus to the needs of the State. Sansone Mall Realty, LLC, will pay the State $1,000,000 and $850,000 respectively, for the properties' based on appraisals. The properties will be sold in accordance with the terms and conditions approved by the State House Commission.
