     Individual's status as minor may not disqualify him from bone marrow donation if medical criteria and informed consent requirements are met.

An Act concerning bone marrow donation and supplementing Title 26 of the Revised Statutes.

 

     Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:

 

     1.  An individual's status as a minor 1[shall] may1 not disqualify him from bone marrow donation 1if the minor meets the medical criteria for bone marrow donation, the minor's parent or legal guardian provides written consent, and a medical informed consent is signed as required by law1.

 

     2.    This act shall take effect immediately.
