SYNOPSIS

     Amends FY2027 appropriations act to reassign appropriation for Virtua Health College of Medicine and Life Sciences to Virtua Health College for hospital support.

An Act amending the annual appropriations act for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2027, P.L.    , c.    (pending before the Legislature as Senate Bill No. 2027 and Assembly Bill No. 5327 of 2026/2027).

 

     Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:

 

     1.    The following appropriation made in section 1 of P.L.   , c.    (pending before the Legislature as Senate Bill No. 2027 and Assembly Bill No. 5327 of 2026/2027) is amended to read as follows:

     2.  This act shall take effect immediately.

STATEMENT

 

     The Fiscal Year 2027 appropriations act currently allocates $2 million to Rowan University for the Virtua Health College of Medicine and Life Sciences.  This bill reassigns that appropriation to the Department of Health for Virtua Health College for hospital support without altering the total amount appropriated for FY 2027.
