1.1A Senate resolution
1.2congratulating John Joseph Gerads of St. Michael, Minnesota, for receiving the
1.3Eagle Award.
1.4WHEREAS, the Eagle Award is the highest award given by the Boy Scouts of America; and
1.5WHEREAS, attaining the rank of Eagle in the Boy Scouts is an important achievement that is worthy
1.6of recognition; and
1.7WHEREAS, John Joseph Gerads is a member of Boy Scouts of America Troop 547 and has displayed
1.8the attributes of a responsible and serving member; and
1.9WHEREAS, he has demonstrated mastery of all scouting skills and completed a community service
1.10project, which involved building an airport viewing area for the Metropolitan Airports Commission at the
1.11Crystal Airport; the project included relandscaping, installing a walkway, and building a picnic table; and
1.12WHEREAS, an Eagle Court of Honor will be held; and
1.13NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota that it
1.14congratulates John Joseph Gerads of St. Michael, Minnesota, for receiving the Eagle Award.
1.15BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare a copy of this
1.16resolution, to be authenticated by the Secretary's signature and that of the Chair of the Senate Rules and
1.17Administration Committee, and transmit it to John Joseph Gerads.
