1.1A Senate resolution
1.2honoring John Bray on his retirement.
1.3WHEREAS, John Bray, a Vietnam veteran and former conservation officer, became
1.4District Public Affairs Coordinator for the Minnesota Department of Transportation in 1984 and
1.5Special Assistant to the District Engineer in 2000; and
1.6WHEREAS, he also serves as de facto ombudsman for District 1, making sure that citizen
1.7comments and complaints receive a response; and
1.8WHEREAS, his reputation is unsurpassed for communicating with the public clearly and
1.9in detail about the department's work and goals; and
1.10WHEREAS, his unique abilities at public relations have won him the respect of the
1.11community and the press; and
1.12WHEREAS, John Bray will be retiring from the department on June 29, 2011,
1.13NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota that it
1.14congratulates John Bray on his retirement and wishes him well in the future.
1.15BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare an
1.16enrolled copy of this resolution, to be authenticated by the Secretary's signature and that of the
1.17Chair of the Senate Rules and Administration Committee, and transmit it to John Bray.
