1.1A Senate resolution
1.2congratulating Matthew Hilden of Otsego, Minnesota, for receiving the Eagle Award.
1.3WHEREAS, the Eagle Award is the highest award given by the Boy Scouts of America; and
1.4WHEREAS, attaining the rank of Eagle in the Boy Scouts is an important achievement
1.5that is worthy of recognition; and
1.6WHEREAS, Matthew Hilden is a member of the St. Michael-Albertville Boy Scouts of
1.7America Troop 547 and has displayed the attributes of a responsible and serving member; and
1.8WHEREAS, he has demonstrated mastery of all scouting skills and completed a community
1.9service project that consisted of constructing a shed for the St. Michael Catholic Church
1.10community garden, which provides produce for the Hannover Food Shelf and others in need; and
1.11WHEREAS, the Boy Scouts of America Board of Review met on Thursday, December 16,
1.122010 and bestowed the rank of Eagle Scout on Matthew; and
1.13NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota that it
1.14congratulates Matthew Hilden of Otsego, Minnesota, for receiving the Eagle Award.
1.15BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare a
1.16copy of this resolution, to be authenticated by the Secretary's signature and that of the Chair of the
1.17Senate Rules and Administration Committee, and transmit it to Matthew Hilden.
