1.2honoring Layla Sjolander on being accepted into the All-State Lutheran Choir.

1.4years has grown to include over 1,450 alumni who have shared sacred music and Christian
1.5witness in approximately 150 churches throughout the state; and
1.6WHEREAS, each year high school students all over the state audition for the 40-65 voice
1.7choir. The singers participate in eight days of rehearsal, Bible study, and discussion concerning
1.8the meaning of the texts they will be singing on the tour; and
1.9WHEREAS, the concept of the choir is based on a concern and a belief. The concern is the

1.13NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota that it
1.14congratulates Layla Sjolander of Zumbrota on being accepted into the All-State Lutheran Choir.
1.15BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare an
1.16enrolled copy of this resolution, to be authenticated by the Secretary's signature and that of the
1.17Chair of the Senate Rules and Administration Committee, and transmit it to Layla Sjolander.
