1.1A Senate resolution
1.2honoring state wrestling champion Paul Fitterer of Cannon Falls.
1.3WHEREAS, wrestling demands agility, strength, timing, and stamina in addition to
1.4reservoirs of psychological discipline and resolve; and
1.5WHEREAS, the Minnesota State High School League Wrestling championship tournament
1.6was held from February 26 to 28, 2015, at the Xcel Energy Center, featuring the most talented and
1.7prolific wrestlers in the state; and
1.8WHEREAS, Cannon Falls senior Paul Fitterer won four consecutive decisions against elite
1.9opposition, including a 2-point victory in the final, to capture the 2015 Minnesota Class AA
1.10championship in the 126-pound division; and
1.11NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota that it
1.12congratulates Paul Fitterer on becoming state champion.
1.13BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare an
1.14enrolled copy of this resolution, to be authenticated by the Secretary's signature and that of the
1.15Chair of the Senate Rules and Administration Committee, and transmit it to Paul Fitterer.
