1.2relating to housing finance; appropriating money for the Minnesota Housing
1.3Finance Agency.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. APPROPRIATION; MINNESOTA HOUSING FINANCE AGENCY.
1.6(a) $17,400,000 for the biennium beginning July 1, 2013, is appropriated from
1.7the general fund to the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency for the family homeless
1.8prevention assistance fund to provide direct assistance and services to households at risk
1.9of losing housing and transitioning out of homelessness. This appropriation is added to
1.10the agency's base.
1.11(b) $27,900,000 for the biennium beginning July 1, 2013, is appropriated from the
1.12general fund to the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency for the challenge fund to provide
1.13financing for affordable housing development statewide. This appropriation is added to
1.14the agency's base.
1.15(c) $23,600,000 for the biennium beginning July 1, 2013, is appropriated from
1.16the general fund to the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency for the housing trust fund
1.17to provide rental assistance for households previously homeless. This appropriation is
1.18added to the agency's base.
1.19(d) $8,400,000 for the biennium beginning July 1, 2013, is appropriated from the
1.20general fund to the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency for the preservation affordable
1.21rental investment fund to provide loans for subsidized rental housing. This appropriation
1.22is added to the agency's base.
1.23(e) $7,900,000 for the biennium beginning July 1, 2013, is appropriated from the
1.24general fund to the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency for rental rehabilitation loans to
2.1assist the rehabilitation of smaller rental properties. This appropriation is added to the
2.2agency's base.
2.3(f) $5,500,000 for the biennium beginning July 1, 2013, is appropriated from the
2.4general fund to the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency for rental rehabilitation loans
2.5to assist the rehabilitation of single-family homes. This appropriation is added to the
2.6agency's base.
2.7(g) $1,750,000 for the biennium beginning July 1, 2013, is appropriated from
2.8the general fund to the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency for the homeownership
2.9education, counseling, and training fund to provide homebuyer and homeowner education,
2.10counseling, and training services. This appropriation is added to the agency's base.
2.11(h) $750,000 for the biennium beginning July 1, 2013, is appropriated from the
2.12general fund to the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency for capacity-building grants
2.13under Minnesota Statutes, section 462A.21, subdivision 3b. This appropriation is added to
2.14the agency's base.
2.15(i) $1,800,000 for the biennium beginning July 1, 2013, is appropriated from the
2.16general fund to the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency for the homeowner assistance
2.17fund for down payment and closing cost assistance for first-time home buyers. This
2.18appropriation is added to the agency's base.

1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
