1.1A bill for an act
1.2relating to waters; providing for prevention of water supply and groundwater
1.3degradation; appropriating money from clean water fund.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

1.5    Section 1. APPROPRIATION; INFLOW AND INFILTRATION REDUCTION
1.6PROGRAMS.
1.7$3,000,000 is appropriated in fiscal year 2012 to the Metropolitan Council to provide
1.8grants or loans for local inflow and infiltration reduction programs in the metropolitan
1.9area, as defined in Minnesota Statutes, section 473.121, subdivision 2, through the
1.10Metropolitan Council. This appropriation is from the clean water fund pursuant to
1.11Minnesota Statutes, section 114D.50, and is available until expended.

1.12    Sec. 2. APPLICATION.
1.13Section 1 applies in the counties of Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey,
1.14Scott, and Washington.

1.15    Sec. 3. EFFECTIVE DATE.
1.16Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment.
