1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. PERPICH CENTER FOR THE ARTS.
1.6$1,250,000 in 2011 and $1,250,000 in 2012 are appropriated from the arts and
1.7cultural heritage fund to the Perpich Center for Arts Education to develop and implement
1.8regional best practices networks to integrate and embed arts education into all curriculum
1.9areas and improve student achievement in Minnesota schools. The network should include
1.10professional staff development, curriculum development, and Web site development. The
1.11network should be designed to serve teachers, teaching artists, and school administrators.
