1.2relating to education finance; modifying the general education revenue formula;
1.3increasing revenue for some school districts;amending Minnesota Statutes 2012,
1.4section 126C.10, subdivision 2c.
1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.6 Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2012, section 126C.10, subdivision 2c, is amended to
1.7read:
1.8 Subd. 2c. Small schools revenue. (a) A school district, not including a charter
1.9school, is eligible for small schools revenue equal to the product of:
1.10(1) $5,224;
1.11(2) the district's adjusted marginal cost pupil units for that year;
1.12(3) the greater of zero or the ratio of (i) 1,000 less the district's adjusted marginal
1.13cost pupil units for that year, to (ii) 1,000; and
1.14(4) 0.10.
1.15(b) For the purpose of revenue calculated under paragraph (a), "school district"
1.16includes a qualifying high school under section 126C.10, subdivision 6, that is located
1.17in a school district with more than one qualifying high school under section 126C.10,
1.18subdivision 6.
1.19EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective for revenue in fiscal year 2014 and
1.20later.
