1.2relating to labor and industry; modifying licensing requirements for well
1.3contractors in certain cases;amending Minnesota Statutes 2010, section 326B.46,
1.4subdivision 6.
1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.6 Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2010, section 326B.46, subdivision 6, is amended to read:
1.7 Subd. 6. Well contractor exempt from licensing and bond; conditions. No
1.8license, registration, or bond under sections326B.42 to
326B.49 is required of a well
1.9contractor or a limited well/boring contractor who is licensed and bonded under section
1.10103I.525
or
103I.531 and is engaged in the work or business of installing
1.11(1) water service pipe from a well to a pressure tankor;
1.12(2) a frost-free water hydrant with an antisiphon devicewhich is on a well water
1.13service pipe located entirely outside of astructure building requiring potable water, or;
1.14(2) (3) a temporary shut-off control valve, located outside the building, on a well
1.15water service pipe. For the purposes of this subdivision, "temporary" means a time period
1.16not to exceed six months. This subdivision expires May 14, 2011.; or
1.17(4) a main control valve located within two feet of the pressure tank on the
1.18distribution supply line.
