1.1A bill for an act
1.2relating to education; directing the state of Minnesota to end participation in
1.3the No Child Left Behind Act.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

1.5    Section 1. ENDING PARTICIPATION IN NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND.
1.6The commissioner of education must nullify and revoke by August 1, 2011, the
1.7consolidated state plan that the state of Minnesota submitted to the federal Department
1.8of Education on implementing the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001, and any other
1.9Minnesota state contract or agreement entered into under the provisions of the No Child
1.10Left Behind Act of 2001.
