1.2relating to cultural heritage; appropriating money for the Chatfield Center for
1.3the Arts.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. APPROPRIATION; CHATFIELD CENTER FOR THE ARTS.
1.6$7,094,000 is appropriated in fiscal year 2012 from the Arts and Cultural Heritage
1.7Fund to the commissioner of administration for a grant to the Chatfield economic
1.8development authority to predesign, design, renovate, construct, furnish, and equip the
1.9Chatfield Center for the Arts in the city of Chatfield. The center includes the George
1.10H. Potter Auditorium, the adjacent 1916 school building, and the land surrounding the
1.11structures owned by the economic development authority. Funds, land and buildings, and
1.12in-kind contributions provided to the center prior to the enactment of this section are
1.13considered to be sufficient local match and no further local match is required.
