1.2relating to transportation; establishing requirements concerning completion of
1.3construction projects on marked Trunk Highway 14.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. MARKED TRUNK HIGHWAY 14 PROJECTS.
1.6The commissioner of transportation shall include in the next update of the state
1.7transportation improvement program construction or reconstruction of marked Trunk
1.8Highway 14 as a four-lane divided highway:
1.9(1) from the interchange with marked Trunk Highway 218 near the city of Owatonna
1.10to the point near the city of Dodge Center at which marked Trunk Highway 14 constitutes
1.11a four-lane divided highway, located southeast of the intersection with marked Trunk
1.12Highway 56; and
1.13(2) from the city of New Ulm to the intersection with Nicollet County State-Aid
1.14Highway 6, located west of the city of North Mankato.
1.15These marked Trunk Highway 14 projects must remain in the state transportation
1.16improvement program until they are completed. They may not be delayed from their initial
1.17date of scheduled commencement unless the commissioner notifies the chairs and ranking
1.18minority members of the legislative committees with jurisdiction over transportation
1.19policy and finance of special unforeseen circumstances.

1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
