1.2relating to natural resources; appropriating money from the clean water fund for
1.3the removal of sedimentation from Lake Zumbro.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. APPROPRIATION; LAKE ZUMBRO.
1.6$2,000,000 in fiscal year 2014 is appropriated from the clean water fund to the
1.7commissioner of natural resources for a grant to Olmsted County for the removal of
1.8sedimentation in Lake Zumbro, including final engineering, dredging, and dredged soil
1.9disposal from the sites identified in the Preliminary Engineering Report for Dredging Lake
1.10Zumbro. This project is designed to improve the recreational economy, water quality, and
1.11habitat and increase water storage capacity within the lake to achieve renewable energy
1.12goals by optimizing long-term hydroelectric operations. This is a onetime appropriation.
