1.2relating to natural resources; appropriating money for a report on cattail control.
1.3BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.4 Section 1. APPROPRIATION; CATTAIL CONTROL REPORT.
1.5$10,000 in fiscal year 2015 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
1.6of natural resources to prepare a report in consultation with the University of Minnesota
1.7and the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities containing recommendations on how to
1.8address the spread of narrow-leaved and hybrid cattails and requests by municipalities and
1.9others for additional control options. The commissioner must submit the report to the chairs
1.10and ranking minority members of the house of representatives and senate committees and
1.11divisions with jurisdiction over the environment and natural resources by January 15, 2015.
