1.1A bill for an act
1.2relating to education; providing funding for the compensatory revenue pilot
1.3project; appropriating money.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

1.5    Section 1. APPROPRIATION.
1.6    Subdivision 1. Department of Education. The sums indicated in this section are
1.7appropriated from the general fund to the Department of Education for the fiscal years
1.8designated.
1.9    Subd. 2. Compensatory revenue pilot project. For grants for participation in the
1.10compensatory revenue pilot program under Laws 2005, First Special Session chapter 5,
1.11article 1, section 50, as amended by Laws 2007, chapter 146, article 1, section 21:

1.14Of this amount, $6,504,000 in each year is for a grant to Independent School District
1.15No. 11, Anoka-Hennepin; $325,000 in each year is for a grant to Independent School
1.16District No. 286, Brooklyn Center; $911,000 in each year is for a grant to Independent
1.17School District No. 279, Osseo; $694,000 in each year is for a grant to Independent School
1.18District No. 281, Robbinsdale; $715,000 in each year is for a grant to Independent School
1.19District No. 535, Rochester; $282,000 in each year is for a grant to Independent School
1.20District No. 833, South Washington; and $650,000 in each year is for a grant to Independent
1.21School District No. 241, Albert Lea. If a grant to a specific school district is not awarded,
1.22the commissioner may increase the aid amounts to any of the remaining participating
1.23school districts. This appropriation is part of the base budget for subsequent fiscal years.
