1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.6 Section 1. RESPONSIBILITIES TRANSFERRED.
1.7(a) The following responsibilities are transferred to the Board of Water and Soil
1.8Resources:
1.9(1) responsibilities of the Pollution Control Agency for the preparation of TMDLs
1.10under Minnesota Statutes, chapter 114D; and
1.11(2) responsibilities of the Department of Natural Resources for water management
1.12under Minnesota Statutes, chapters 103A to 103I, and related statutes.
1.13(b) Minnesota Statutes, section 15.039, applies to the transfer of responsibilities
1.14under paragraph (a).
1.15 Sec. 2. REVISOR'S INSTRUCTION.
1.16By January 15, 2012, the revisor of statutes shall present a bill to the legislature to
1.17make the appropriate statutory changes to reflect the transfer of duties under section 1.
1.3Water and Soil Resources from Pollution Control Agency and Department of
1.4Natural Resources.
