1.2relating to capital investment; appropriating money for the Todd County senior
1.3citizens center; authorizing the sale and issuance of state bonds.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. TODD COUNTY SENIOR CITIZENS HEALTHY LIVING CENTER.
1.6 Subdivision 1. Appropriation. $500,000 is appropriated from the bond proceeds
1.7fund to the commissioner of employment and economic development for a grant to Todd
1.8County to either acquire land for and to predesign, design, construct, furnish, and equip a
1.9new multipurpose facility, or to acquire an existing building or buildings and predesign,
1.10design, reconstruct, furnish, and equip a multipurpose facility in which to provide senior
1.11citizens services relating to nutrition, healthy living, and community engagement. This
1.12appropriation is not available until at least an equal amount is committed to the project
1.13from nonstate sources.
1.14 Subd. 2. Bond sale. To provide the money appropriated in this section from the
1.15bond proceeds fund, the commissioner of management and budget shall sell and issue
1.16bonds of the state in an amount up to $500,000 in the manner, upon the terms, and with
1.17the effect prescribed by Minnesota Statutes, sections 16A.631 to 16A.675, and by the
1.18Minnesota Constitution, article XI, sections 4 to 7.
1.19EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.
