1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.6 Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2010, section 116J.431, subdivision 1a, is amended to
1.7read:
1.8 Subd. 1a. Definitions. (a) For purposes of this section, the following terms have
1.9the meanings given.
1.10(b) "City" means a statutory or home rule charter city located outside the metropolitan
1.11area, as defined in section473.121, subdivision 2 . The cities of Norwood Young America,
1.12Hamburg, and New Germany are eligible to receive grants under this section.
1.13(c) "County" means a county located outside the metropolitan area, as defined in
1.14section473.121, subdivision 2 .
1.15(d) "Public infrastructure" means publicly owned physical infrastructure necessary
1.16to support economic development projects, including, but not limited to, sewers, water
1.17supply systems, utility extensions, streets, wastewater treatment systems, storm water
1.18management systems, and facilities for pretreatment of wastewater to remove phosphorus.
