1.3BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.4 Section 1. REPORT.
1.5By January 15, 2013, the state fire marshal shall report to the chairs and ranking
1.6minority members of the senate and house of representatives committees having
1.7jurisdiction over the state fire marshal on minimum standards with which newly
1.8established fire departments should be required to comply. At a minimum, the standards
1.9must address staffing levels, equipment needs, estimated response times, and the
1.10experience levels of departmental personnel.
