1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.6 Section 1. VOYAGEURS NATIONAL PARK CLEAN WATER JOINT POWERS
1.7BOARD.
1.8 Subdivision 1. Appropriation. $8,575,000 is appropriated from the bond proceeds
1.9fund to the Voyageurs National Park Clean Water Joint Powers Board to acquire land
1.10for, and to predesign, design, and construct new sanitary sewer collection systems in
1.11Koochiching and St. Louis County. The systems shall address the sanitary sewer needs
1.12and projects in the communities surrounding Voyageurs National Park. This appropriation
1.13is not available until the commissioner of management and budget determines that at least
1.14an equal amount has been committed to the project from nonstate sources.
1.15 Subd. 2. Bond sale. To provide the money appropriated in this section from the
1.16bond proceeds fund, the commissioner of management and budget shall sell and issue
1.17bonds of the state in an amount up to $8,575,000 in the manner, upon the terms, and with
1.18the effect prescribed by Minnesota Statutes, sections 16A.631 to 16A.675, and by the
1.19Minnesota Constitution, article XI, sections 4 to 7.
1.20EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.
