1.2relating to transportation; authorizing county maintenance on Trunk Highway 47.
1.3BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.4 Section 1. TRUNK HIGHWAY 47 MAINTENANCE.
1.5Notwithstanding any law to the contrary, the commissioner of transportation shall
1.6permit the Anoka County Board to perform routine roadway maintenance on the portion
1.7of marked Trunk Highway 47 north of marked Trunk Highway 10 and located within the
1.8jurisdiction of the county. For purposes of this section, "routine roadway maintenance"
1.9means work on the roadway to keep it in a reasonable state of repair and functional use,
1.10including but not limited to striping, erecting and maintaining traffic control devices, and
1.11adding turn lanes within existing rights-of-way.
1.12EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.
