1.2relating to metropolitan government; requiring the Metropolitan Council to
1.3reduce its allocation of regional parks and open space funding to the Three
1.4Rivers Park District.
1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.6 Section 1. METROPOLITAN COUNCIL; THREE RIVERS PARK DISTRICT.
1.7Notwithstanding any law, policy, or guideline, the Metropolitan Council must
1.8reduce its allocation of capital or operating funding for the Three Rivers Park District by
1.9an amount equal to $372,000 plus any cost overruns related to the construction of the
1.10cofferdam portion of the Coon Rapids Dam project. The council may spread the allocation
1.11reduction over a period of up to four years.
1.12EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.
