1.2relating to higher education; requiring the Board of Trustees of Minnesota State
1.3Colleges and Universities to implement a policy on awarding college credit for
1.4tech-prep programs; requiring a report.
1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.6 Section 1. COLLEGE CREDIT; ANOKA STEP PROGRAM.
1.7By December 15, 2012, the Board of Trustees of the Minnesota State Colleges
1.8and Universities (MnSCU) must adopt and implement a policy to award college credit
1.9to students enrolled in the Anoka STEP program in conjunction with Anoka-Hennepin
1.10Technical College. The board must evaluate how college credits are awarded to students
1.11enrolled in similar tech-prep or 2+2 programs offered at MnSCU colleges and report
1.12on the credit award policy and the findings of the evaluation to the committees of the
1.13legislature with jurisdiction over higher education finance by December 15, 2012.
