1.6BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.7 Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2010, section 465.035, is amended to read:
1.8465.035 PUBLIC CORPORATION, CONVEYANCE OR LEASE OF LAND.
1.9 Subdivision 1. Conveyance to government entity. Any county, town, city or
1.10other public corporation may lease or convey its lands for a nominal consideration,
1.11without consideration or for such consideration as may be agreed upon to the state or
1.12to any governmental subdivision, to the United States or to any agency of the federal
1.13government, another public corporation or to the Minnesota State Armory Building
1.14commission for public use when authorized by its governing body.
1.15 Subd. 2. Conveyance to veterans service organization. When authorized by its
1.16governing body, any county, town, city, or other public corporation may lease or convey
1.17its lands for nominal consideration, without consideration, or for such consideration as
1.18may be agreed upon to any congressionally chartered veterans service organization for
1.19public use. Any property conveyed under this subdivision is subject to the following
1.20conditions: (1) that the veterans service organization agrees to notify the conveying entity
1.21if the property ceases to be used for a public purpose or if the organization wishes to sell
1.22or otherwise convey the property; and (2) that the organization agrees to convey the
1.23property to the conveying entity upon request of the conveying entity. For purposes of this
2.1subdivision, "congressionally chartered veterans service organization" means a veterans
2.2organization granted a charter by the United States Congress.

1.6BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
