1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. APPROPRIATION.
1.6$5,000,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner of public
1.7safety to provide a match for Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) disaster
1.8assistance to state agencies and political subdivisions under Minnesota Statutes, section
1.912.221, in the area designated under Presidential Declaration of Major Disaster DR-1982,
1.10for the flooding in Minnesota in the spring of 2011, whether included in the original
1.11declaration or added later by federal government action. This is a onetime appropriation.
1.12This appropriation does not lapse.
1.13 Sec. 2. EFFECTIVE DATE.
1.14Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment.
