1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. PRIVATE SALE OF TAX-FORFEITED LAND BORDERING PUBLIC
1.6WATER; ST. LOUIS COUNTY.
1.7(a) Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, sections 92.45 and 282.018, subdivision
1.81, and the public sale provisions of Minnesota Statutes, chapter 282, St. Louis County
1.9may sell by private sale the tax-forfeited lands bordering public water that are described in
1.10paragraph (c), under the remaining provisions of Minnesota Statutes, chapter 282.
1.11(b) The conveyances must be in a form approved by the attorney general. The
1.12attorney general may make changes to the land descriptions to correct errors and
1.13ensure accuracy. Prior to the sales, the commissioner of revenue shall grant permanent
1.14conservation easements, according to Minnesota Statutes, section 282.37, for the lands
1.15described in paragraph (c), clauses (3), (4), and (5). The easements shall serve to provide
1.16riparian protection and access for anglers and for future restoration work. The easements
1.17for the lands described in paragraph (c), clauses (3) and (4), shall be 75 feet in width, lying
1.18southerly of the centerline of the stream. The easement for the land described in paragraph
1.19(c), clause (5), shall be 75 feet in width, lying northerly of the centerline of the stream.
1.20(c) The lands to be sold are located in St. Louis County and are described as:
1.21(1) Lots 377 through 399, odd-numbered lots, Lower Duluth Minnesota Avenue,
1.22Section 12, Township 49 North, Range 14 West (parcel 010-3110-01950);
1.23(2) part of Lot 2 beginning at the northwest corner; thence southerly 628.4 feet;
1.24thence southeasterly at an angle of 102 degrees 17 minutes, 693 feet; thence southerly at
2.1an angle of 90 degrees, 12 feet to the point of beginning; thence northerly 112 feet; thence
2.2easterly 300 feet to the shore of Stone Lake; thence southwesterly along the lakeshore to
2.3the point of beginning, except that part north of the road, Section 27, Township 55 North,
2.4Range 12 West (parcel 230-0010-04549);
2.5(3) Lot 440, Homecroft Park, Town of Rice Lake, Section 34, Township 51 North,
2.6Range 14 West (parcel 520-0130-00460);

2.11(d) The county has determined that the county's land management interests would
2.12best be served if the lands were returned to private ownership.
2.13 Sec. 2. PUBLIC SALE OF TAX-FORFEITED LAND BORDERING PUBLIC

2.15(a) Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, sections 92.45 and 282.018, subdivision 1,

2.31(c) The lands to be sold are located in St. Louis County and are described as:

3.31(d) The county has determined that the county's land management interests would
3.32best be served if the lands were returned to private ownership.
3.33 Sec. 3. PRIVATE SALE OF TAX-FORFEITED LAND; ST. LOUIS COUNTY.
3.34(a) Notwithstanding the public sale provisions of Minnesota Statutes, chapter 282,
3.35or other law to the contrary, St. Louis County may sell by private sale the tax-forfeited
4.1land described in paragraph (c) under the remaining provisions of Minnesota Statutes,
4.2chapter 282.
4.3(b) The conveyances must be in a form approved by the attorney general. The attorney
4.4general may make changes to the land description to correct errors and ensure accuracy.
4.5(c) The lands to be sold are located in St. Louis County and are described as:
4.6(1) part of Lot 37, Block 4, except the Southwest Half and except the East 7.5 feet,
4.7Grant Park Division of Duluth, Section 30, Township 50 North, Range 14 West (parcel
4.8010-1960-00670);
4.9(2) beginning 1,088.74 feet North of an iron monument marking the east side of
4.10Vermilion Road 455.34 feet East of the southwest corner of Section 10 and extending
4.11easterly 231.49 feet; thence southerly 100.46 feet; thence westerly 238.82 feet to the east
4.12side of Vermilion Road; thence northerly 100 feet to the point of beginning, also called
