1.1A bill for an act
1.2relating to state lands; providing for conveyance of state land to United States
1.3Fish and Wildlife Service.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

1.5    Section 1. CONVEYANCE OF STATE LAND; WINONA COUNTY.
1.6(a) Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, sections 16B.281 to 16B.287, 92.45,
1.7161.43, and 161.44, or any other law to the contrary, the commissioner of transportation
1.8may convey to the United States Fish and Wildlife Service all right, title, and interest of
1.9the state of Minnesota, in the land described in paragraph (c).
1.10(b) The conveyance must be in a form approved by the attorney general. The
1.11attorney general may make changes to the land description to correct errors and ensure
1.12accuracy. The conveyance may take place only upon completion of the Dresbach bridge
1.13project, state project number 8580-149.
1.14(c) The land to be conveyed is located in Winona County and is described as: That
1.15part of Alcorn Island located along the south side of marked Interstate Highway 90 from
1.16mile point 276.52 easterly to the westerly shoreline of the main channel of the Mississippi
1.17River. The majority of the site is in Government Lot 4, Section 34, Township 105 North,
1.18Range 4 West, and in Government Lot 5, Section 33, Township 105 North, Range 4 West.
1.19The overall site is approximately 1.4 acres.
