1.2relating to liquor; clarifying law relating to a sake brewpub.
1.3BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.4 Section 1. SAKE BREWPUB; CLARIFICATION.
1.5(a) Notwithstanding any law, ordinance, or charter provision to the contrary, a
1.6licensed brewery producing sake under authority of Minnesota Statutes, section 340A.301,
1.7subdivision 6, paragraph (d), as of the effective date of this act, may be issued a license
1.8by the city of Minneapolis for off-sale of sake produced and packaged on the licensed
1.9premises. The sake shall be packaged in a substantially similar manner to that required for
1.10off-sales under Minnesota Statutes, section 340A.301, subdivision 7, paragraph (b).
1.11(b) This section is effective upon approval by the Minneapolis City Council and
1.12compliance with Minnesota Statutes, section 645.021.
