1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2010, section 120A.22, subdivision 1a, is amended to
1.6read:
1.7 Subd. 1a. Noncustodial parent access to records.Upon request, A noncustodial
1.8parent has the right of access to, and to receive copies of, school records and information,
1.9to attend conferences, and to be informed about the child's welfare, educational progress,
1.10and status, as authorized under section518.17, subdivision 3 . A district must provide the
1.11information to the noncustodial parent unless the parent requests not to be informed. The
1.12school is not required to hold a separate conference for each parent.
