1.1A Senate concurrent resolution
1.2relating to Minnesota's peacetime emergency; terminating the peacetime emergency
1.3pursuant to the authority granted under Minnesota Statutes, section 12.31, subdivision
1.42, paragraph (b).
1.5WHEREAS, Governor Walz signed Executive Order 20-01, a declaration of a peacetime
1.6emergency on March 13, 2020; and
1.7WHEREAS, the Executive Council of the State extended that peacetime emergency for up
1.8to 30 days, on March 16, 2020; and
1.9WHEREAS, on May 13, 2020, by Executive Order 20-55, Governor Walz extended the
1.10peacetime public emergency declared under Executive Order 20-01 and extended in Executive
1.11Order 20-35, until June 12, 2020; and
1.12WHEREAS, on June 12, 2020, by Executive Order 20-75, Governor Walz extended the
1.13peacetime public emergency declared under Executive Order 20-01 and extended in Executive
1.14Orders 20-35 and 20-55 until July 13, 2020; and
1.15WHEREAS, on July 13, 2020, by Executive Order 20-78, Governor Walz extended the
1.16peacetime public emergency declared under Executive Order 20-01 and extended in Executive
1.17Orders 20-35, 20-55, and 20-75 until August 12, 2020; and
1.18WHEREAS, on August 12, 2020, by Executive Order 20-83, Governor Walz extended the
1.19peacetime public emergency declared under Executive Order 20-01 and extended in Executive
1.20Orders 20-35, 20-55, 20-75, and 20-78 until September 11, 2020; and
1.21WHEREAS, on September 11, 2020, by Executive Order 20-89, Governor Walz extended
1.22the peacetime emergency declared under Executive Order 20-01 and extended under Executive
1.23Orders 20-35, 20-55, 20-75, 20-78, and 20-83 until October 12, 2020; and
2.1WHEREAS, on October 12, 2020, by Executive Order 20-92, Governor Walz extended the
2.2peacetime emergency declared under Executive Order 20-01 and extended in Executive Orders
2.320-35, 20-55, 20-75, 20-78, 20-83, and 20-89 until November 12, 2020; and
2.4WHEREAS, on November 12, 2020, by Executive Order 20-97, Governor Walz extended
2.5the peacetime emergency declared under Executive Order 20-01 and extended in Executive Orders
2.620-35, 20-55, 20-75, 20-78, 20-83, 20-89, and 20-92 until December 12, 2020; and
2.7WHEREAS, on December 14, 2020, by Executive Order 20-100, Governor Walz extended
2.8the peacetime emergency declared under Executive Order 20-01 and extended in Executive Orders
2.920-35, 20-55, 20-75, 20-78, 20-83, 20-89, 20-92, and 20-97 until January 13, 2021; and
2.10WHEREAS, on January 13, 2021, by Executive Order 21-04, Governor Walz extended the
2.11peacetime emergency declared under Executive Order 20-01 and extended in Executive Orders
2.1220-35, 20-55, 20-75, 20-78, 20-83, 20-89, 20-92, 20-97, and 20-100 until February 12, 2021; and
2.13WHEREAS, on February 12, 2021, by Executive Order 21-08, Governor Walz extended the
2.14peacetime emergency declared under Executive Order 20-01 and extended in Executive Orders
2.1520-35, 20-55, 20-75, 20-78, 20-83, 20-89, 20-92, 20-97, 20-100, and 21-04 until March 15, 2021;
2.16and
2.17WHEREAS, on March 15, 2020, by Executive Order 21-12, Governor Walz extended the
2.18peacetime emergency declared under Executive Order 20-01 and extended in Executive Orders
2.1920-35, 20-55, 20-75, 20-78, 20-83, 20-89, 20-92, 20-97, 20-100, 21-04 and 21-08 until April 14,
2.202021; NOW, THEREFORE,
2.21BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota, the House of Representatives
2.22concurring: that the legislature exercises its authority under Minnesota Statutes, section 12.31,
2.23subdivision 2, paragraph (b), terminating the peacetime emergency declared under Executive Order
2.2420-01, and extended under subsequent executive orders, on the day following the adoption of this
2.25resolution by the House of Representatives of the State of Minnesota.
2.26BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare an
2.27enrolled copy of this resolution, to be authenticated by his signature and those of the Speaker of
2.28the House of Representatives, the Chair of the Senate Rules and Administration Committee, and
2.29the Chief Clerk of the House of Representatives, and transmit it to the Governor of the State of
2.30Minnesota.
