1.2relating to public safety; prohibiting the State Patrol from closing or consolidating

1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. STATE PATROL DISPATCH CENTERS.
1.6(a) The commissioner of public safety must not close or consolidate State Patrol
1.7dispatch centers that were in operation on February 1, 2011.
1.8(b) By December 1, 2011, the commissioner of public safety shall submit a report to
1.9the legislature that identifies and explains the current State Patrol dispatch center system
1.10and any proposed changes to the system.
1.11(c) This section expires August 1, 2012.
