1.2relating to the state budget; restricting the use of any fiscal year 2013 general

1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. USE OF SURPLUS RESTRICTED.
1.6Any positive unrestricted budgetary general fund balance for fiscal year 2013 must
1.7be allocated as provided in Minnesota Statutes, section 16A.152, and is not available for
1.8any other purpose including any new expenditure or revenue reduction enacted between
1.9January 8, 2013, and February 28, 2013.
1.10EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective retroactively from January 8, 2013.
