1.2relating to education; clarifying school districts' ability to request department
1.3assistance;amending Minnesota Statutes 2012, section 127A.18.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2012, section 127A.18, is amended to read:
1.6127A.18 MANAGEMENT ASSISTANCE TO SCHOOL DISTRICTS.
1.7The department shall provide management assistanceif requested by to a district
1.8 upon request.The Such assistance may include:
1.9(1) developing data and assumptions for the district to use in setting priorities and
1.10goals and in considering management and organizational alternatives; and
1.11(2) analyzing and assessing alternative methods of organization and management,
1.12including opportunitiesfor coordination and cooperation to coordinate and cooperate with
1.13other districts, andassessing assess the relative costs and benefits of the alternatives.
