1.2relating to capital improvements; appropriating money for the Scott County
1.3Regional Public Safety Training Center; authorizing the sale and issuance of
1.4state bonds.
1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.6 Section 1. APPROPRIATION.
1.7$2,200,000 is appropriated from the bond proceeds fund to the commissioner of
1.8public safety, notwithstanding any law to the contrary, for a grant to Scott County to
1.9design, construct, furnish, and equip an expansion of the regional public safety training
1.10center in Scott County.
1.11The appropriation is in addition to the appropriations in Laws 2006, chapter 258,
1.12section 15, and Laws 2008, section 15, subdivision 7, and is not available until the
1.13commissioner determines that an equal amount has been committed to the project from
1.14nonstate sources. Amounts committed to this project from nonstate sources since June 2,
1.152006, may be counted for the nonstate match.
1.16 Sec. 2. BOND SALE.
1.17To provide the money appropriated in section 1 from the bond proceeds fund, the
1.18commissioner of management and budget shall sell and issue bonds of the state in an
1.19amount up to $2,200,000 in the manner, upon the terms, and with the effect prescribed by
1.20Minnesota Statutes, sections 16A.631 to 16A.675, and by the Minnesota Constitution,
1.21article XI, sections 4 to 7.
1.22 Sec. 3. EFFECTIVE DATE.
2.1Sections 1 and 2 are effective the day following final enactment.
