1.1A bill for an act
1.2relating to state lands; authorizing private sale of certain tax-forfeited land
1.3in Itasca County.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

1.5    Section 1. PRIVATE SALE OF TAX-FORFEITED LAND; ITASCA COUNTY.
1.6(a) Notwithstanding the classification and public sale provisions of Minnesota
1.7Statutes, chapter 282, Itasca County may sell by private sale to the adjoining landowner
1.8the consolidated conservation lands that are described in paragraph (c), under the
1.9remaining provisions of Minnesota Statutes, chapter 282.
1.10(b) The conveyance must be in a form approved by the attorney general. The
1.11attorney general may make necessary changes to the legal description to correct errors
1.12and ensure accuracy.
1.13(c) The land to be sold is in Itasca County and is described as: the East 100 feet of
1.14the Northeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 28, Township 62 North, Range
1.1524 West.
1.16(d) The land sale will resolve a building encroachment with the adjacent landowner.
