1.2relating to capital improvements; appropriating money for a bicycle and
1.3pedestrian trail to connect the Northtown Transit hub to the metropolitan regional
1.4trail and to provide a safe route for elementary school students; authorizing
1.5the sale and issuance of state bonds.
1.6BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.7 Section 1. APPROPRIATION.
1.8$500,000 is appropriated from the bond proceeds fund to the Metropolitan Council
1.9for a grant to Coon Rapids to predesign, design, and construct a bicycle and pedestrian
1.10trail along 85th Avenue westbound from the BNSF Railroad tracks to East River Road and
1.11through adjacent park land to connect with the regional trail in the city of Coon Rapids.
1.12 Sec. 2. BOND SALE.
1.13To provide the money appropriated in section 1 from the bond proceeds fund, the
1.14commissioner of management and budget shall sell and issue bonds of the state in an
1.15amount up to $500,000 in the manner, upon the terms, and with the effect prescribed by
1.16Minnesota Statutes, sections 16A.631 to 16A.675, and by the Minnesota Constitution,
1.17article XI, sections 4 to 7.
1.18 Sec. 3. EFFECTIVE DATE.
1.19Sections 1 and 2 are effective the day following final enactment.
