1.2relating to jobs and training; appropriating money for a grant to administer a
1.3statewide program for job skills development in Conservation Corps Minnesota.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. APPROPRIATION.
1.6$500,000 in fiscal year 2012 and $500,000 in fiscal year 2013 are appropriated from
1.7the workforce development fund to the commissioner of employment and economic
1.8development for a grant to Conservation Corps Minnesota to administer a statewide project
1.9of youth job skills development and training to assist with restoration, maintenance, and
1.10other activities related to natural resources management. This project, which may have
1.11career guidance components including health and life skills, is to encourage, train, and
1.12assist youth in job-seeking skills, workplace orientation, and job site knowledge through
1.13coaching. This appropriation is available in either year of the biennium and is added to the
1.14agency's permanent budget base.
1.15EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.
