1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.6 Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2010, section 85.013, is amended by adding a
1.7subdivision to read:
1.8 Subd. 15a. LaSalle Lake State Recreation Area, Hubbard County.
1.9 Sec. 2. LASALLE LAKE STATE RECREATION AREA.
1.10 Subdivision 1. LaSalle Lake State Recreation Area, Hubbard County. The
1.11LaSalle Lake State Recreation Area is established in Hubbard County.
1.12 Subd. 2. Boundaries. The following described lands are located within the
1.13boundaries of the LaSalle Lake State Recreation Area, all in Hubbard County:
1.14(1) the Southwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter and the Northwest Quarter of the
1.15Southwest Quarter, except the East 10 acres thereof, of Section 29; the Northeast Quarter
1.16of the Northeast Quarter, the Northwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter, the Southwest
1.17Quarter of the Northeast Quarter, the Northeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter, the
1.18Southeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter, the Southeast Quarter of the Northeast
1.19Quarter, and Government Lots 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9, of Section 30; Government Lots 1,
1.202, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10, of Section 31; and Governments Lots 1 and 4 of Section 32; all in
1.21Township 145 North, Range 35 West; and
1.22(2) Government Lot 12, Section 19, Township 145 North, Range 35.
2.1 Subd. 3. Administration. The commissioner of natural resources shall administer
2.2the area according to Minnesota Statutes, section 86A.05, subdivision 3, subject to
2.3existing rules and regulations for state recreation areas. LaSalle Lake State Recreation
2.4Area shall be administered as a satellite unit of Itasca State Park.
2.5 Sec. 3. APPROPRIATION.
2.6$2,100,000 in fiscal year 2012 is appropriated from the parks and trails fund to the
2.7commissioner of natural resources to acquire land within the boundary of LaSalle Lake
2.8State Recreation Area and for initial development of the state recreation area.
