1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. APPROPRIATION; AGRICULTURAL GROWTH, RESEARCH,
1.6AND INNOVATION PROGRAM.
1.7$1,395,000 is appropriated in fiscal year 2014 and $1,395,000 is appropriated in
1.8fiscal year 2015 from the general fund to the commissioner of agriculture for grants to the
1.9Board of Regents of the University of Minnesota pursuant to the Agricultural Growth,
1.10Research, and Innovation Program to fund the Forever Green Agriculture Initiative and
1.11protect the state's natural resources while increasing the efficiency, profitability, and
1.12productivity of Minnesota farmers by incorporating perennial and winter-annual crops
1.13into existing agricultural practices.
