1.1A bill for an act
1.2relating to counties; providing a coyote and beaver conflict management option;
1.3proposing coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 348.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

1.5    Section 1. [348.125] COYOTE, BEAVER CONFLICT MANAGEMENT OPTION.
1.6A county board may, by resolution, offer a bounty for the taking of coyotes (Canis
1.7latrans) or beaver (Castor canadensis) by all legal methods. The resolution may be made
1.8applicable to the whole or any part of the county. The bounty must apply during the
1.9months specified in the resolution and be in an amount determined by the board.

1.10    Sec. 2. EFFECTIVE DATE.
1.11Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment.
