1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. FOOD SHELF PROGRAMS.
1.6$500,000 for fiscal year 2011 and $500,000 for fiscal year 2012 are appropriated
1.7from the general fund to the commissioner of human services for food shelf programs
1.8under Minnesota Statutes, section 256E.34. This appropriation shall become part of the
1.9base appropriation for this purpose.
1.10 Sec. 2. FOOD STAMP OUTREACH.
1.11$500,000 in fiscal year 2011 and $500,000 in fiscal year 2012 are appropriated
1.12from the general fund to the commissioner of human services for purposes of Minnesota
1.13Statutes, section 256.8799, specifically for food stamp outreach grants to food shelves for
1.14outreach training, equipment, and increased staff to work with clients.
